Carnival 2012 St Maarten - Jouvay / Jouvert Morning "Jump Up" Parade

April 28 2012 Sint Maarten Carnival Jump Up Parade - J'ouvert, Juvé is a contraction of the French 'jour ouvert', for dawn/day break. Devotees gather behind mammoth "sound trucks" way before sunrise on the morning before the Grand Parade at the end of April and 'jump' all the way around the Great Salt Pond before proceeding toward Great Bay where they loop back via Front Street to arrive at Carnival Village around noon.
