Cooking with Linda St. Martin

I shot this video on October 20th, 2010. I was in Biloxi for a press conference on the 6th month anniversary of the BP oil disaster. Linda St. Martin, local rabble-rouser and major pain in (then- Mississippi Governor) Haley Barbour's backside, invited me back to lunch at Harmony Hall in Gulfport. I don't remember how or why, but suddenly we were filming a cooking show, while Raleigh Hoke (Mississippi organizer with the Gulf Restoration Network at the time), looked on, waiting patiently for his grilled cheese sandwich, sauteed mirlitons, and satsuma lemonade. I finally got around to editing the video this weekend, after the unexpected and very sad news that Linda passed away on Friday morning (5/23/14) from complications related to chemotherapy. Considering my fondness and respect for her after spending time with Linda only a handful of times, I can only imagine what a loss this is for her family, friends, and colleagues.
