Discovering the Beauty of St Martin: A Dive into the Turquoise Waters

Sometimes you get to travel to new and wonderful places - and sometimes, you are lucky to know that place offers you the rest and rejuvenation to be able to tackle your "normal" life!? In this SHORT, you get to see a little bit of Tammy's personal time on a recent vacation...which ultimately, also means "still working her real estate business". Saint Martin / Sint Maarten offers a unique experience - while presenting a true island feel, it is called "The Friendly Island" and located in the northeast section of the Caribbean. This islands lays at the norther end of the Leeward Group of the Lesser Antilles and just under 200 miles east of Puerto Rico. It is a dual-national country, with the northern Saint Martin being FRENCH territory and the southern section of Sint Maarten of the NETHERLANDS. This offers a unique experience to multi cultural living at its best! Ease of travel from one side of the island to the other with a variety of languages with French, Dutch, Caribbean, English and a mix of others just for good measure ;) The food is INCREDIBLE and I will encourage you to eat as many different varieties as your appetite will allow! From inexpensive Lolos (local grilled at the beach and served heaping on your plate) to more casual beach fare to as dress-up "fancy" as you would like to get. Typical average cost for a lunch will range from $15-25 per person, and dinner $25 - 50 to much higher market on lobster (pick your own right out of the pond), to the more expensive options of a couple hundred $$$ for a Sale & Pepe experience. You really can control the expense by limiting your options - if that is needed, or decide to splurge and just enjoy while you can. But just because it may be less expensive does NOT mean it is less tasty! We had Ribs from Rosie's (Mullet Bay beach bar) that were FALL OFF THE BONE AND SMOKING DELICIOUS for $14 each and I will say the family thought that was AS GOOD AS the Lobster Dinner. It is all in what your prefer...
