Education in Suriname: Transforming Young Learners’ Lives and Supporting Dedicated Teachers

Second Basic Education Improvement Program (BEIP II) is the second phase of a multiphase operation designed to increase learning outcomes of all primary school students and improve the internal efficiency of the education system. This second phase has revised the curriculum for the last two years of primary education and improved access to better schools and teachers in the interior.
