Holland House in St. Maarten  The Holland House Beach Hotel on the Island of St. Maarten overlooks the Great Bay beach with its white sand, calm water and departing cruise ships. I am sitting in the hotel's ocean lounge restaurant, one of the best on St. Maarten. But we are in July now, it is the low season, so there are no cruise ships and very few tourists.  This is how it looks around here during the high season, so you have an idea.  Let's head over now, to Porto Cupecoy, an upscale residential community located in the Lowland's area.
