Linden father of 6 who lost both legs given new lease on life After losing both of his legs within a two-year period, the life of 41-year-old Shawn Seaforth of Bulletwood Street, McKenzie Linden has been a bumpy road. The father of six was once a national footballer and served in the Guyana Defence Force for three years. During his time in the army, he developed blood clots in both legs and was later diagnosed with diabetes. As his condition worsened, Seaforth had to leave the army and worked as a carpenter, but not for too long. Soon after, his right leg was amputated and within two years, doctors made the decision to amputate his left leg as well. Since then, Seaforth has struggled to provide for his family. However, thanks to the generosity of Mr. A. Mohamed, Seaforth has received a renewed sense of hope and purpose. Earlier today, he was gifted a three-wheel motorcycle and a mobile stand, which will help him pursue a small business venture selling dog food, bread, and ice cream in and around the village. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the businessman, whose support is sure to be life-changing.
