Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service are urging citizens not to get caught up with smuggling narcotics for unknown persons.
Addressing the Weekly Media Briefing on Wednesday, Acting ASP Vernly Gift, of the Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit, said there has been an increase in narcotic interdiction at a number of our local courier services which offer an international export facility.
He said so far for the year, officers have seized 70 kilogrammes of cocaine, 940 kilogrammes of marijuana, and 880 firearms.
