Have you ever had a roti before? Come on in and check out the Roti Den in Paynes Bay, Barbados with me. For comparison, I believe roti is the Indian and Caribbean’s equivalent to the burrito. Roti, also known as chapati or phulka, is a skillet cooked circular flatbread made with ground whole wheat flour or “atta”. The Roti Den serves up some of the best authentic roti on the island…my local friends will attest to that! We grabbed several different roti to go… my favorite, the vibrantly flavored stewed lamb and goat combo, curried chicken with potato, and curried vegetables with chana.
