Tips for Traveling to Sint Maarten/ Saint Martin!

Here are a few of my tips for a fun trip to Sint Maarten and Saint Martin! 1. Happy Hour is serious! Buy 1, get 1 free! Pace yourself ;) but I definitely recommend participating 2. Catch the planes landing at Maho Beach during sunset and sunrise to avoid the crowds of people and get stunning pictures. Huge crowds visit mid day and the beach is just too small for all of that! Lol there’s also a few bars walking distance from Maho beach, so after you get your airplane pic, grab a bite at the Sunset Beach bar and then hop to Mykonos night club to start the night festivities! 3. Get a rental car! Saint Martin and Sint Maarten is really easy to get around. You drive on the right side of the road like in the US. There’s different parts of the island to explore, it’s just so much easier to get a rental car. FYI Taxis take cash only! At least the ones we took! 4. Rent a vacation rental or Airbnb! There’s no all inclusive there. Hotels/resorts are abundant but on vacation opt for the local experience. Stay in a local neighborhood. Meet the locals! They are super friendly and accommodating 5. Visit the French side! There’s so much over there! It’s more quieter than the Dutch side. Very traditional, lots of greenery. There’s cool beach clubs and beaches over there! We stopped at Orient Bay, walked all the way to the end to the nude beach and enjoyed happy hour lol! It was a great time! With all that being said, Sint Maarten/Saint Martin is dope for solo trips, girl trips, baecations and family trips!
